A Curated list of Awesome Documentaries
--
I remember myself as a child waiting every Sunday for the newspaper that my father would buy, which was accompanied by a DVD with a new documentary. I have a huge collection of those DVDs (Do you still remember those plastic disks with a small hole in the middle, that stored data?). Those documentaries were mostly about nature and history, but occasionally were also about science and engineering. I have always loved watching documentaries, because it’s a way to learn new things in a narrative way. It’s actual knowledge or facts encapsulated in a story.
Now that I am a bit older, my taste in documentary genres has changed (although I still enjoy some nature documentaries from time to time). After I recently watched the documentary “The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley” from HBO (listed below) I decided to compile a list of various great documentaries (in my humble opinion) that I believe are worth watching.
